Charging station for electric vehicles in Stekkar

In Iceland almost all of the electric energy is produced by natural, renewable means, ideal for to power vehicles. According to this, Icelanders have one of the world’s highest rate of electric vehicles in their car fleet. In a coherence with this fact, its easy for customers of the bigger car rentals to rent an e-car, for to reduce the carbon footprint of their travel and to travel in a cheaper way.

To comply with this evolution, and to improve the service in a touristic business where almost every customer uses a rented car to be able to move around, Nordic Lodges wants to accommodate its guests in the use of EVs. Therefore we’ve now provided our beautifully sited log cabin Stekkar with a very efficient charging facility directly at the car parking. With this charging device, with maximal power of 22 kW, it’ll be able to fully charged  most of electric vehicles in 4 hours. The access to the charging will be enabled through an app controlled by the operators of Nordic Lodges and payed through your credit card at the end of your stay at Stekkar lodge.
